Up and over garage doors are perhaps the most traditional type of garage door available, but they’re not always the most efficient choice.
These doors swing open vertically, meaning they take up ceiling space and require room in front of the door when in operation. In contrast, the roller garage doors sold here at Rollerdor retract upwards and sit neatly in a compact box on the ceiling. This leaves extra space at the front of the garage.
Also, as our roller garage doors are insulated and have fewer gaps around them, they can help provide additional insulation. This is because they are sealed at the top and on the sides, with the guide runners also featuring a brush. They also have a rubber seal on the very last slat of the door, so when the curtain fully closes it will contract to help provide an additional way to repel draughts at the bottom.
The durable aluminium we use when manufacturing our products can also enhance security when compared with some traditional up and over options.
